Preparing To Prepare To Get Ready

Whatever your mission or goal, preparation is an essential ingredient to success, for sure. But if you find yourself entangled in a cycle of continuing to “prepare to prepare,” thinking that there’s one more thing that has to be in place before beginning, you’re just plain stuck – because there will be “one more thing” and then another and another. Believing that every iota of detail must be in place to ensure a successful outcome is a surefire way to fail.

In spite of all the planning, you’re still going to get something wrong, because it’s impossible to foresee the pitfalls beyond your reach.

So if you’re doing it wrong at first or at some point along the way, at least you’re doing it, and that means you have a chance to change your strategy and do it better.
